Javier Aguirre Hails Harry Kane Before England Clash

Mexico head coach Javier Aguirre has heaped praise on England captain Harry Kane ahead of their highly anticipated encounter, calling the Bayern Munich striker a "global icon" and one of the finest forwards in world football.

Aguirre highlighted Kane's remarkable goalscoring record for Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich and England, while admiring his all-round qualities.
"Harry Kane is a global icon. The goals he scored for Tottenham, Bayern, or for his national team, are those of a world-class player," Aguirre said.

The Mexican coach also praised Kane's physical presence, technical ability and leadership, describing him as a complete footballer.

Aguirre revealed that Mexico's defensive approach will focus on limiting Kane's influence by surrounding him with defenders and midfielders whenever he drops deep to receive possession.

"We'll try to neutralise him, not just with the centre-backs but with the midfield, with help from the full-backs. We'll try to make sure he's not comfortable on the pitch," Aguirre added.

Mexico will aim to contain England's star striker as they look to secure a positive result against one of the tournament favourites.
