Noida International Airport Successfully Conducts Final ORAT Turnaround Trial with IndiGo
Noida International Airport (NIA) has successfully completed its final Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) turnaround trial in collaboration with IndiGo, marking a significant milestone in the airport's journey toward operational launch.

The comprehensive trial simulated a complete aircraft turnaround on the airside, testing the seamless coordination of airport systems, operational processes, and key stakeholders. The exercise was designed to validate the airport's readiness to handle real-world flight operations efficiently and safely.

During the trial, critical infrastructure and systems were tested, including the Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS), Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs), Ground Power Units (GPUs), baggage handling systems, and cargo processing facilities. Airport teams also evaluated in-flight catering services, ground handling procedures, and refuelling operations as part of the operational preparedness framework.

Additionally, the exercise included the re-validation of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) and Required Navigation Performance (RNP) approach procedures to ensure safe and efficient aircraft navigation and landing capabilities.

The successful completion of the ORAT turnaround trial highlights Noida International Airport's commitment to operational excellence, passenger convenience, and aviation safety. The airport continues to progress toward becoming a major aviation hub serving the National Capital Region and beyond.
