Piyush Goyal Launches India Centre in Germany
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal announced the launch of the India Centre at the German Council on Foreign Relations, an initiative aimed at strengthening bilateral engagement between India and Germany across research, business development, culture and people-to-people relations.
Speaking about the initiative, Goyal highlighted the importance of trusted international partnerships amid uncertainty in the global economy. He emphasised that diversified supply chains and predictable trading relationships would play a crucial role in shaping the future of global commerce.
He also underlined the complementary strengths of India’s scale and Europe’s technological capabilities, describing their combination as an “unbeatable combination”. The new India Centre is expected to provide an important platform for deeper policy dialogue, knowledge exchange and cooperation between the two countries.
