Piyush Goyal Meets Sumitomo Corporation CEO in Tokyo

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal began his engagements in Tokyo with a meeting with Shingo Ueno, President and CEO of Sumitomo Corporation.

During the meeting, Goyal discussed opportunities to deepen Sumitomo Corporation’s engagement with India across key sectors, including energy transformation, mobility and industrial infrastructure.

Goyal highlighted India’s investment-led growth and rapidly expanding manufacturing ecosystem as significant opportunities for greater collaboration between Indian and Japanese businesses.
