Modi-Albanese Meeting to Focus on Strategic Ties
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Melbourne to participate in the Australia-India Annual Leaders' Summit, scheduled from July 8 to 10, where he will hold bilateral talks with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Ahead of the summit, Albanese described India as "the world's fourth largest and fastest growing economy" and highlighted its importance as one of Australia's key economic partners.
"I am honoured to welcome my friend Prime Minister Modi to Australia for our Annual Leaders' Summit," Albanese said, underscoring the growing strategic partnership between the two nations.
The summit is expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in trade and investment, defence, critical minerals, clean energy, education, technology, and regional security. The meeting will also reaffirm the shared commitment of India and Australia to a free, open and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
The annual summit reflects the deepening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and Australia, with both countries seeking to expand economic collaboration and people-to-people ties.
