PM Modi Leads Yoga Day Celebrations Across India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi anchored India's celebration of 12th International Day of Yoga from Kolkata's Red Road as millions of citizens across the country joined in on Sunday morning.

The mass demonstration centred on "Yoga for Healthy Ageing" featured approximately 35,000 people performing the common Yoga techniques alongside the Prime Minister in a nationwide wave of synchronized public health events.

While addressing the nation, the Prime Minister pointed out how yoga serves to enhance the body and the mind, prevents lifestyle diseases and safeguards longevity.

"If you adopt Yoga as part of your daily life... at your fifties you will feel as if you are in your thirties, and in your seventies you will feel that you are in your40s," he wrote on social media platform X.
Top Union Ministers and State Chief Ministers lad similar flagship mass assemblies at 100 iconic heritage and cultural sites across the country, with President Droupadi Murmu being present in Jabalpur, Home Minister in Ahmedabad, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Shillong and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Guwahati.
According to information from the Ministry of External Affairs, over 210 Indian missions abroad organised public events at nearly 2,500 international landmarks.
