The Prime Minister emphasized that the relationship has entered a new phase of cooperation, marked by the successful conclusion of the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The landmark agreement is expected to strengthen economic cooperation, boost bilateral trade and investment, and create new opportunities for businesses and citizens across both regions.
The discussions in Evian also reflected the shared commitment of India and the European Union to deepen collaboration in areas such as trade, technology, sustainability, innovation, connectivity, and global governance.
As India and the EU continue to expand their partnership, the successful conclusion of the FTA stands as a major milestone, paving the way for stronger economic growth and closer strategic engagement between two of the world's largest democratic and economic blocs.
