PM Modi Pays Tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary, remembering the revolutionary freedom fighter for his courage, valour and supreme sacrifice for the nation.

In a post on X, Modi said Bhagat Singh’s indomitable courage gave a new edge to India’s freedom movement. He also highlighted the revolutionary’s spirit of sacrificing everything for the honour of the nation.

The prime minister said Bhagat Singh’s legacy continues to serve as a symbol of courage and inspiration for the youth of India.

Bhagat Singh remains one of the most prominent figures of India’s freedom struggle. He was executed by the British on March 23, 1931, along with Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar.

His revolutionary ideas, patriotism and commitment to India’s independence have continued to shape public remembrance of the freedom movement.
