Addressing an audience featuring senior executives from some of Europe’s largest corporations, Prime Minister Modi delivered a clear message: India is ready for investment, innovation and long-term strategic partnerships.
The landmark event took place on the evening of 17 May 2026 in Gothenburg, Sweden’s industrial and manufacturing hub, bringing together influential corporate leaders and policymakers for discussions on economic growth, technology and future cooperation.
Co-hosted by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the roundtable represented one of the most significant India–Europe diplomatic and business engagements in recent years.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted India’s rapidly expanding economy, manufacturing capabilities, technology ecosystem and policy reforms designed to attract global investment.
