PM Modi Reaffirms Commitment to Tamil Nadu’s Development
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Tamil Nadu, highlighting his long-standing interactions with the state’s leaders across different political administrations.
Recalling his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister and his subsequent years as Prime Minister, Modi said he had opportunities to interact with former Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers M. Karunanidhi and J. Jayalalithaa. As Prime Minister, he also worked with O. Panneerselvam, Edappadi K. Palaniswami and the current Chief Minister, M. K. Stalin.
The Prime Minister emphasised that changes in government had not altered his resolve to develop Tamil Nadu and serve its people.
“Governments changed, but my resolve to develop Tamil Nadu and serve the people here remained the same,” Modi said, adding that the journey was now moving forward with Chief Minister Joseph Vijay.
His remarks underscored the importance of continuity in development, cooperation across political lines and a shared commitment to the welfare of Tamil Nadu’s people.
Modi reiterated that the state’s progress and the well-being of its citizens remain central to his development vision, regardless of political changes.
