PM Modi Embarks on Historic New Zealand Visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has departed for a historic two-day visit to New Zealand from July 10–11, at the invitation of New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon. The visit marks the first by an Indian Prime Minister to New Zealand in four decades, signalling a new chapter in bilateral relations.

The visit is expected to focus on elevating the India-New Zealand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with special emphasis on implementing the recently signed India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

During his stay in Auckland, Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon to review the full spectrum of cooperation and explore new avenues for collaboration in trade, investment, technology, education, innovation and regional security.
In addition to official engagements, PM Modi will interact with business leaders, sports personalities and members of the Indian diaspora, reinforcing people-to-people ties and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
The visit is being seen as a significant milestone in strengthening India-New Zealand relations and unlocking fresh opportunities for economic growth, investment and strategic collaboration between the two Indo-Pacific partners.
