PM Modi Arrives in Auckland for Historic New Zealand Visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Auckland on Friday for a landmark two-day visit to New Zealand, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in four decades.
Upon his arrival, Prime Minister Modi was warmly received by New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon. Sharing an update on social media, PM Modi expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and highlighted the historic significance of the visit.

Describing the visit as historic, the Prime Minister said he looks forward to comprehensive discussions with PM Luxon covering the full spectrum of the India-New Zealand relationship. The two leaders are expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, defence, education, technology, agriculture, sports, and people-to-people exchanges.
PM Modi will also address the Indian community in Auckland, where members of the diaspora are expected to gather in large numbers. The event is set to celebrate the vibrant cultural and economic ties between India and New Zealand.
The visit is expected to provide fresh momentum to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries and further deepen bilateral engagement across multiple sectors.
