PMAY Self-Survey in Bengal has crossed a significant milestone, with more than 2.35 lakh beneficiaries successfully completing the online housing survey under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). According to the latest official figures, 2,35,955 self-surveys have been registered across West Bengal. Malda has emerged as the leading district in terms of participation, while Kalimpong has recorded the fewest registrations. The self-survey campaign will continue until August 15, giving eligible families additional time to complete the process.

The state government has urged all beneficiaries who do not own a pucca house to take advantage of the digital survey facility and complete their applications before the deadline.

What is the PMAY Self-Survey?

The PMAY Self-Survey in Bengal is part of the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), allowing eligible beneficiaries to conduct the mandatory housing survey independently through a smartphone.

How to Complete the PMAY Self-Survey

Applicants must install two mobile applications before beginning the process:

After downloading the applications, beneficiaries need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Register Using Aadhaar

Open the Awas Plus 2024 app.
Select the preferred language.
Register using the Aadhaar number.
Complete Aadhaar-based authentication.

Step 2: Fill in Personal Details

Applicants must provide:
Personal information.
Details of family members.
Job card information (where applicable).
Bank account details.
Responses to all questions in the application form.

Step 3: Upload Photographs

Applicants are required to upload:
A photograph of their existing kutcha house.
A photograph of the proposed construction site for the new house.

Step 4: Submit the Survey

After verifying all the information, applicants should click on the "Upload Survey" button.
Once the process is completed successfully, the application displays the confirmation message:
"Survey Completed Successfully."
