Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a powerful message on the historic legacy of the Somnath Temple, recalling how the temple stood resilient despite repeated attacks over centuries.
In a post on social media, PM Modi said the spirit and ethos of Bharat could never be destroyed, adding that Somnath continued to be rebuilt due to the courage and devotion of the people of India.
The Prime Minister also remembered the reopening of the rebuilt Somnath Temple 75 years ago in the presence of India’s first President Rajendra Prasad. He said the temple remains a symbol of India’s civilisational strength, faith, and cultural continuity.
PM Modi further stated that Somnath stands as an eternal symbol of courage and devotion, praying for the blessings of Mahadev upon everyone.
