Highlighting the struggles of migrant workers, Priyanka Gandhi said that thousands of young Indians living overseas face immense hardships as they try to build a life away from home while supporting their families. She emphasised that conflicts in the Middle East create severe anxiety for both the workers and their families back in India. Referring to the recent tensions in Middle East, she stated that her immediate concern was for those stranded far from home and their loved ones in Keralam. She accused the government of lacking compassion and failing to provide adequate safety, security, or a clear evacuation and support plan during crises. Priyanka Gandhi further asserted that in a democracy, citizens have the right to question the government and expect protection, especially during international emergencies. She said governments must stand up for their people and uphold constitutional values. Launching a direct attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she alleged that the leadership has failed to respond strongly on global humanitarian issues, including the situation in Palestine. She also criticised India’s foreign and economic policies, claiming they adversely impact Indian farmers and weaken national interests.
