Sarbananda Sonowal Meets Suvendu Adhikari in Kolkata, Reaffirms Commitment to Bengal's Development

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal met Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, in Kolkata and expressed confidence in the state's future development trajectory.

Sharing details of the meeting on social media, Sonowal praised Adhikari's leadership, describing him as a dynamic leader whose dedication to West Bengal has ushered in a historic era of change. The Union Minister also extended his best wishes to Adhikari for his new role and reiterated the Central Government's commitment to accelerating growth and development across the state.

Sonowal stated that the "Double Engine Government" is fully prepared to fast-track infrastructure development, economic growth, and public welfare initiatives while unlocking Bengal's true potential. The remarks come amid increasing political focus on development, investment, and governance ahead of key political developments in the state.

The meeting highlights the Bharatiya Janata Party's continued emphasis on strengthening its presence in West Bengal while promoting collaborative efforts between the Centre and the state to drive progress across sectors including infrastructure, industry, connectivity, and employment generation.

Political observers view the interaction as a significant signal of the BJP leadership's commitment to West Bengal and its vision for the state's long-term development and transformation.
