Sonam Bajwa recently shared a surprising real-life story during her appearance on Famously Fit with Sophie on Amazon MX Player. She revealed that a woman once told her she had called off her engagement because her fiancé was “obsessed” with Sonam and wanted her to look and have a body like the actor.
Recalling the incident, Sonam said the woman expressed relief after ending the relationship, adding that she is now with someone who truly loves her for who she is. Sonam mentioned that she was happy to hear the woman had made that decision.
Talking about her journey, Sonam began her career as a model and gained recognition after participating in Femina Miss India 2012. She made her acting debut with Best of Luck and rose to fame with Punjab 1984. Over the years, she has become a leading name in Punjabi cinema with hits like Nikka Zaildar, Carry On Jatta 3, and Sardaar Ji.
She has also appeared in Hindi films such as Street Dancer 3D and Karam Yuddh, along with roles in Tamil and Telugu projects. Most recently, she was seen in Housefull 5 and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.
