Tiger Shroff Firing Case: 3 Suspects Held in Kota
Three people, including a minor, have been detained in connection with the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai. The suspects were apprehended by Kota city police on Monday while travelling on the Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express in Rajasthan, police said.
Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam said the operation lasted around 15 minutes and was conducted following inputs shared by Mumbai Police. The suspects were caught in the general coach of the train after police teams searched it thoroughly.
The two identified suspects are Ritik alias Roshan, a resident of Begusarai in Bihar, and Rehan, from Sonipat in Haryana. The identity of the third suspect, a minor, has not been disclosed.
According to SP Gautam, preliminary questioning revealed that Rehan was in contact with Anil Pandit, an alleged associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang claimed responsibility for Sunday's attack in an unverified social media post.
Police said the suspects allegedly planned to travel from Jaipur to Delhi by bus before crossing the border into Nepal. During preliminary questioning, they reportedly told investigators that they had boarded the train after carrying out the crime.
No weapon was recovered from the suspects, Gautam said.
Personnel from the Anti-Gangster Task Force and the Railway Protection Force assisted Kota police in the operation. The suspects were taken to the Superintendent of Police's office for initial questioning.
A team from Mumbai Police subsequently reached Kota to take custody of the suspects. They remain detained and are expected to be arrested after being taken into Mumbai Police custody, according to the police statement.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening in Mumbai's Juhu area, where three assailants allegedly opened fire at Shroff's car. The actor escaped unhurt, while his driver and another person sustained injuries. Police said three rounds were fired at the actor, known for his role in the film War.
The investigation is ongoing, and the allegations against the suspects remain subject to further investigation and legal proceedings.
