Tilottama Sen, Vidarsa Vinod and Ashi Chouksey Win Silver for India in Asian Games Shooting

India continued its strong shooting campaign at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with Tilottama Sen, Vidarsa K. Vinod and Ashi Chouksey securing the silver medal in the Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions Team event.

The Indian trio produced a composed performance across the kneeling, prone and standing positions, combining for 1763 points with 90 inner tens (1763-90x) to finish second.

China claimed the gold medal with an Asian-record-equalling 1773 points, while Kazakhstan took bronze with 1754 points.

India’s Silver-Medal Performance
Tilottama Sen led the Indian team with a total of 590 points, scoring 197 in kneeling, 199 in prone and 196 in standing. Her consistent performance saw her qualify third for the individual final.

Vidarsa K. Vinod finished with 588 points. After scoring 193 in kneeling, she bounced back strongly with 199 in prone and 196 in standing, finishing sixth overall and qualifying for the individual final.

Ashi Chouksey contributed 585 points, including 196 in kneeling and an impressive 199 in prone. She finished with 190 in standing and placed 15th, narrowly missing individual qualification.

The team-event scores were calculated from the combined qualification scores of the three Indian shooters across all three positions.

India’s silver adds another medal to the country’s growing Asian Games 2026 shooting tally, underlining the depth and consistency of the Indian shooting contingent.
