The White House stated that US President Donald Trump held a “good meeting” with Chinese President Xi Jinping, where both leaders discussed expanding economic cooperation between the United States and China.
According to the statement, the discussions focused on increasing market access for American businesses in China and boosting Chinese investments in US industries. Leaders from several major American companies also attended part of the meeting, highlighting the growing importance of bilateral economic engagement.

The two sides also emphasized the need to continue efforts to stop the flow of fentanyl precursors into the United States. In addition, China expressed interest in increasing purchases of American agricultural products.
A major focus of the talks was global energy security and the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz. Both leaders agreed that the waterway must remain open to ensure the free flow of global energy supplies. President Xi reportedly reiterated China’s opposition to the militarization of the Strait and opposed any move to impose tolls for its use.
🚨 Xi Jinping just told Trump to his face:
“China and the United States both stand to gain from cooperation and lose from confrontation. We should be partners, not rivals.”
Let that sink in.
