Assembly Election : After the recent state elections in Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh, voters in the states of
Rajasthan and Telangana are now set for their turn to exercise their franchise. While Assembly elections
will be held in Rajasthan on 25th November 2023, Telangana goes to polls on 30th November 2023.
The results of the Assembly elections will be announced on 3rd December 2023 for all five states.
Before the no campaigning stricture is imposed from this evening onwards in Rajasthan, all political
parties are busy giving their final push in the state. Regarding this, the Chief Electoral Officer, Praveen
Gupta, said,” Campaigning will end at 6 pm on 23rd November 2023 and no public gathering by way of
meeting or procession can be held after that in connection with the upcoming elections.”
On the final day of campaigning, Union Home Minister and BJP heavyweight, Amit Shah, held a
roadshow in Chittorgarh.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadhra in her speech during the party’s campaign rally in Rajasthan
said,” PM Modi did not visit violence-hit Manipur but went to watch a cricket match in Ahmedabad.”
All eyes are now on the forthcoming Rajasthan Assembly Election that is expected to be a tooth-and-nail
contest between the incumbent Congress and BJP and the Telangana Assembly Election where BJP is
putting up a strong fight.
