SCHEDULED TO LAUNCH SEVERAL PROJECTS DURING HIS VISIT
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day visit to his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi,
is scheduled to launch several projects.
SECOND VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS BETWEEN VARANASI AND NEW DELHI FLAGGED OFF
The Prime Minister flagged off the Varanasi – New Delhi Vande Bharat Express train. This is the
second of its kind connecting Varanasi and New Delhi. The Vande Bharat Express from Varanasi
will likely benefit travellers heading to Prayagraj, Kanpur, and New Delhi, providing an additional
high-speed and modern travel option. He was accompanied by the Chief Minister of Uttar
Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath.
He will also launch the New Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction to New Bhaupur Junction segment of
the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), boosting the logistics sector.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also inaugurated the Swarveda Mahamandir in the city. The
seven-floor temple in beautiful design has 125-petal lotus domes and 20,000-seating
capacity.
He also participated in the village edition of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and took a walk
through the stalls. He visited the Viksit Bharat Yatra Van and Quiz event where he interacted
with beneficiaries of various government schemes.
“If 140 crore countrymen resolve to make the nation developed, India will surely become
'Viksit' (advanced) by 2047,” he said during the address.
