Bhartiya Janata party ropes in Tollywood actress Srabanti Chatterjee in the party. Srabanti had immense popularity in Bengal as she is one the most well known actress of the industry. Speculation were going on about her joining the saffron party since a couple of weeks. Finally on Monday all speculation ended as she joined the Bhartiya Janta Party in Kolkata.
BJP MP Dilip Ghosh and West Bengal BJP observer Kailash Vijayvargiya handed the party flag to Srabanti Chatterjee. After the joining, Srabanti said,” I am thankful to Bhartiya Janta party for giving me the opportunity. Till now you all have saw me in the silver screen. It’s a new journey for me. People had showered love for me. So it’s my time now to return them the love. So I would like to work for the people now. That why I came in this circuit”.
Srabanti added,”Narendra Modi ji has been our motivation. He is making my nation proud. I would like to thank him as well. My father was in army. So I always used to think about doing something big since childhood. So now I had got the opportunity to work for the people. BJP has gave the chance. I am hopeful of utilising it in good way”.
