The appeal came amid early trends released by the Election Commission of India, which indicated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was leading in a majority of seats across the state.

In a video message shared during the counting process, Banerjee emphasized the importance of vigilance and morale.
“I appeal to everyone that neither TMC candidates nor counting agents should abandon counting centres,” she said, urging party workers to stay committed and ensure transparency in the counting process.

Her statement comes at a time when the political atmosphere in West Bengal remains tense, with both major parties closely monitoring the results that could significantly impact the state’s political landscape.
