Asian Games 2026 Day 6: Team India Shines with Gold, Silver and Bronze
Asian Games 2026 Day 6 delivered another memorable chapter for Team India, with athletes producing a strong medal haul across shooting, athletics, table tennis and other disciplines.
Shooting provided the biggest highlight as Kamaljeet and Suruchi Inder Singh clinched gold in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event, while also setting an Asian Games record. India added another silver through Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Rudrankksh Patil and Niraj Kumar in the men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions team event.

Athletics also contributed to India’s medal tally, with Gulveer Singh winning silver in the men’s 10,000m. Manpreet Kaur secured bronze in the women’s shot put, while Baranica Elangovan earned bronze in the women’s pole vault. Table tennis also added a bronze medal through India’s mixed doubles campaign.
In team events, India continued its strong run. The Indian women’s hockey team defeated Japan 3–1 to advance to the semifinals. Both the men’s and women’s kabaddi teams reached their respective gold-medal matches, creating two more opportunities for India to fight for the top podium spot.
India also secured further medal opportunities in squash, while badminton and surfing kept Indian athletes in action across the Aichi-Nagoya Games.
Day 6 therefore combined gold-medal success, multiple silver and bronze medals, assured podium finishes and major progress in team events, adding another significant chapter to India’s Asian Games 2026 campaign.
