Asian Games 2026: Parul Chaudhary Wins Bronze in 3000m Steeplechase
Indian distance runner Parul Chaudhary added another major medal to her international career on Sunday, winning bronze in the women’s 3000m steeplechase at the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya.

Chaudhary produced a personal-best performance, clocking 9:08.67 to secure third place in a highly competitive final. The result marks her second consecutive Asian Games medal in the 3000m steeplechase after she won silver at the 2023 Hangzhou Games.
Bahrain’s reigning world champion Winfred Yavi claimed the gold medal in 9:04.36, while Kazakhstan’s Norah Jeruto Tanui took silver with 9:06.82.

Competing against a world-class field, Chaudhary maintained a strong tactical pace through the barriers and water jumps before producing a determined finish to secure the bronze medal.
