Chasing 296, India raced to 300/2 in 41.4 overs, completing a dominant victory with 50 balls to spare and taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Kohli remained unbeaten on a sensational 139 off 88 balls, striking 10 fours and a career-best nine sixes. His explosive innings came at a strike rate of 157.95 and provided the perfect finish to India's successful chase.

Kohli Reaches 15,000 ODI Runs

Kohli became just the second player after Sachin Tendulkar to cross the 15,000-run landmark in ODI cricket.

The former India captain reached the milestone in his 303rd ODI innings, 74 innings quicker than Tendulkar, who achieved the feat in 377 innings. Kohli crossed the mark during the 29th over against Alzarri Joseph, hitting two consecutive boundaries.

55th ODI Century for Kohli

Kohli completed his 55th ODI century, taking his tally to 86 international centuries. He reached the landmark from 74 balls, stepping out to Gudakesh Motie and lofting the spinner over mid-wicket.

Kohli also achieved a rare personal first by reaching both his 50 and 100 with sixes. He eventually finished with nine maximums in a spectacular 88-ball innings.

Gill Joins Kohli in India's Successful Chase

India captain Shubman Gill also struck a century, scoring a composed 110 off 108 balls, including 13 fours and a six.

After Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 32, Gill and Kohli combined for a crucial 151-run partnership for the second wicket, putting India firmly in control of the chase.

The West Indies had earlier posted 295/7 in 50 overs, with Justin Greaves scoring 101 and John Campbell contributing 62. India's Kuldeep Yadav was the standout bowler, claiming 4/40.

India eventually sealed the eight-wicket victory in the 42nd over, with Kohli finishing the match in emphatic fashion.
