China Maintains Commanding Medal Lead

China continued its strong run at the Asian Games, adding more medals across swimming, gymnastics, shooting and weightlifting. With 48 gold medals from more than 75 total podium finishes, China maintained a substantial lead in the overall standings.

Japan Keeps Second Place

Host nation Japan remained in second with 67 medals, including 15 gold, 25 silver and 27 bronze. Strong performances in combat sports, fencing and aquatic events helped Japan maintain its position among the leading delegations.

South Korea Completes Top Three

South Korea occupied third place with 41 medals — 8 gold, 8 silver and 25 bronze. The delegation continued to collect podium finishes across martial arts and racket sports.

Kazakhstan and Thailand Add to Continental Depth

The medal table also reflected the broad competitive spread across Asia. Kazakhstan had 19 medals, while Thailand recorded 12, contributing to a growing list of nations on the podium.

More than 30 countrues had earned medals by the end of Day 4, underlining the depth and diversity of sporting competition at the 2026 Asian Games.
