ATK Mohunbagan beat SC East Bengal 3-1 in Indian Super league derby at Fatorda Stadium. ATK Mohunbagan started the match on a positive note with Roy Krishna opening for the Mariners in 15th minute. He scored a brilliant goal solo goal after receiving a long ball from Tiri. But SC East Bengal equalised in the 41st minute from a blunder of ATK Mohunbagan defender Tiri. Spanish Tito’s header went into Mohunbagan goal which gave East Bengal the equaliser.
Mohunbagan and East Bengal both started the second half on a positive note. But some individual brilliance of mohunbagan footballers earned them full three points. Roy Krishna in the 72nd minute created a great opportunity and passed the ball to David Williams. Australian Williams did nothing wrong to put the ball into goal. Roy Krishna’s brilliance once again gave Mohun Bagan the advantage in 89th minute, when Xavi Hernandez netted a header from Krishna’s pass. With this derby win, Mohunbagan continued being ahead in the league table.
