Ayush Shetty Exits BWF World Championships After Alwi Farhan Loss

India’s Ayush Shetty was knocked out of the 2026 BWF World Championships after suffering a straight-games defeat to Indonesia’s Alwi Farhan in the men’s singles Round of 16.

Shetty fought hard in the opening game but went down 19-21 before Farhan took control in the second game, winning 21-11 to complete a 21-19, 21-11 victory.

The defeat brings Shetty’s campaign to an end as Farhan advances to the quarterfinals of the prestigious badminton tournament.
