Bengal's First BJP Budget Booklet Unveiled in Assembly
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta officially unveiled the Budget Booklet for the financial year 2026-27 in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, marking a historic moment for the state's newly elected BJP government.
The release accompanied the presentation of the first full-fledged Budget of the BJP administration in West Bengal. The Budget is expected to outline the government's economic priorities, development initiatives, welfare commitments, and long-term growth strategy for the state.

Adding a unique cultural touch to the occasion, the Budget file was crafted using traditional Bengali mats and jute, showcasing Bengal's rich heritage and highlighting the state's connection to one of its most iconic industries.
The unveiling of the Budget Booklet symbolizes the beginning of a new fiscal chapter for West Bengal, as the government sets out its roadmap for governance, infrastructure development, employment generation, and economic growth in FY 2026-27.
