Bhupendra Patel Meets Schneider Electric CEO, Eyes Gujarat Expansion

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel met Deepak Sharma, Managing Director and CEO of Schneider Electric India, during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2027 Curtain Raiser in New Delhi.

During the meeting, Patel and Sharma discussed strengthening Schneider Electric’s extensive manufacturing presence in Gujarat, including the company’s upcoming fourth facility in the state.

The discussions also explored opportunities in specialized technologies for hyperscale data centres, an area that is becoming increasingly important as India’s digital infrastructure expands.

Patel highlighted Schneider Electric’s contribution to Gujarat’s technology and manufacturing ecosystem, noting that its operations in the state are supporting key semiconductor and mega-tech infrastructure projects across India while also serving 17 global markets through exports.

The Gujarat Chief Minister also praised Schneider Electric’s partnership with 50 State ITIs, describing the collaboration as an important boost to the state’s technical talent ecosystem and efforts toward youth empowerment.

The meeting underlines Gujarat’s continued focus on attracting technology-driven manufacturing investments and developing a skilled workforce to support emerging sectors such as semiconductors, data centres and advanced infrastructure.
