Blue Valley Cluster Launched in Assam: New Boost for India-EU Partnership in AYUSH, Fragrance and Flavours
In a significant step towards strengthening India-European Union economic cooperation, the Government of Assam and the European Union jointly launched the Blue Valley Cluster in Guwahati, focusing on the Flavours, Fragrance and AYUSH sectors.
The initiative aims to promote sustainable industrial development, innovation, trade and investment opportunities between Assam and European markets. The cluster is expected to serve as a catalyst for enhancing value-added production and global market access for Assam's natural and traditional products.
Speaking at the launch event, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted the state's growing economic potential and emphasized opportunities for collaboration with European partners in key sectors including semiconductors, electronics, tea, agarwood, organic foods, natural fragrances and AYUSH products.
European Union Ambassador Hervé Delphin underscored Assam's strategic advantages, noting that the state's abundant natural resources, skilled workforce and improving connectivity make it an attractive destination for international investment and industrial cooperation.
The Blue Valley Cluster is expected to facilitate technology transfer, skill development, innovation-driven entrepreneurship and stronger business linkages between Assam-based enterprises and European stakeholders. The initiative aligns with broader India-EU efforts to deepen economic engagement while promoting sustainable growth and green industries.

Industry experts believe the cluster could significantly enhance Assam's position as a hub for natural fragrances, herbal products, organic agriculture and wellness-based industries, creating new employment and export opportunities for the region.
