Canada Eyes Long-Term Trade Partnerships with India
Canada’s Minister of International Trade, Maninder Sidhu, has highlighted Canada’s efforts to strengthen trade and investment ties with India during the Team Canada Trade Mission reception in Mumbai, emphasising energy cooperation and long-term business partnerships.
At our Team Canada Trade Mission reception in Mumbai, I pitched Canada to India’s business community. India’s energy needs are growing. Saskatchewan’s Cameco has signed a uranium supply agreement with India worth an estimated $2.6 billion, helping meet those needs while supporting Canadian jobs. I’m here to build more long-term partnerships like this, connecting Canadian businesses with new customers and turning those opportunities into contracts and good paying jobs at home.
