Elon Musk Confirms SpaceXAI Will Become SpaceXSI
SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed that SpaceXAI, SpaceX’s artificial intelligence arm, will be renamed SpaceXSI, with “SI” standing for Super Intelligence.
The move comes after US President Donald Trump’s September 29 executive order titled “Inaugurating the Era of Super Intelligence.” The order directs US executive agencies to use the terms “Super Intelligence” and “SI” in official communications.
The renaming reflects the growing prominence of the term “Super Intelligence” in discussions surrounding the future development of advanced artificial intelligence.
Musk has been increasingly focused on artificial intelligence through his various ventures, with SpaceXAI forming part of the broader push toward advanced AI and super-intelligent systems.
The change from SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI also aligns the company’s branding with the terminology highlighted in the latest US policy directive on artificial intelligence.
