The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Sunday created history .when ISRO launches its Small Satellite Launch Vehicle SSLV-D1 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

SSLV-D1 rocket carries Earth Observation Satellite EOS-02 and another small satellite AzaadiSAT, developed by student team of Space Kidz India.
ISRO aced a picture-perfect launch of its newly developed Small Satellite Launch Vehicle and deployed AzadiSAT and EOS-02 in space to mark India’s 75 years of Independence.
- The Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV), ISRO’s latest offering, roared into the skies from the first launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Sunday. While there was some data loss during the final stage, ISRO officialsaid, “The maiden flight of SSLV D1 has been completed and it performed all stages as expected. We know in the terminal phase of the satellite there has been data loss and so they are waiting for the status of satellites and vehicle performances.”
SSLV-D1/EOS-02 Mission: Maiden flight of SSLV is completed. All stages performed as expected. Data loss is observed during the terminal stage. It is being analysed. Will be updated soon.
