Coutinho will spend the rest of this season on loan at Villa Park from FC Barcelona, with the agreement including an option to buy.
Philippe Coutinho has expressed his delight at signing for Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season.
The Brazilian, whose agreement at Villa Park includes an option to buy, has a illustrates career following spells with Inter Milan, Liverpool, FC Bayern Munich and parent club Barcelona.
The 29-year-old Brazilian joined Barcelona in 2018 for a record fee of EUR 135m.
Since then he could not become a regular starter in the first squad which can also be seen on his market value development. As FC Barcelona is constantly trying to free up money by selling or loaning out players with high wages and Coutinho wants to play regular football, the deal could be beneficial for all parties.
And the 29-year-old is keen to get started and enjoy his football after reuniting with Villa head coach Steven Gerrard, whom he played alongside in his previous stint in the Premier League for Liverpool.
