Crime does not pay. And Junior Mridha’s case proves the statement. Junior’s elder and grieved parents can now breathe a sigh of relief as they got to see the culprit behind the bars.
It was on 2011 where the dead and deceased body of software engineer Junior Mridha was found at the Belgravia Express way. The case initially assumed as a road accident took a turn after a 9mm bullet was discovered from Junior’s body during postmortem. The investigation initially handled by the CID found a list of suspects which enlisted model Priyanka Chowdhury who belonged to an influential and wealthy background . Priyanka was in a relationship with Junior and the daughter in law of famous footballer Balaram Chowdhury.
After series of interrogation Junior’s case got stuck at one place. On 2018, Junior’s parents knocked the door of the Kolkata High Court who handed over the matter to CBI.
The Central Bureau of Investigation carried marathon interrogation where they found irrelevance in statement of Priyanka Chowdhury who at last admitted everything on Monday. Although Priyanka denied her statements alleging herself being framed in a conspiracy. Justice for junior may have been delayed but not denied.
