Light rain is expected in several districts of the state in the next 24 hours. Particularly light rain is likely in 2 Dinajpur and Malda of North Bengal as well as West districts of South Bengal like Bankura, Purulia, Jhargram West Midnapore. The reason for this rain is mainly due to the combination of cool winds from the north-west and water vapor from the sea. There is a possibility of light rain due to cloud formation. Besides, it will be cold in North Bengal for a few more days. There is no possibility of a new temperature drop in South Bengal. Today’s minimum temperature in Kolkata was 19.5.
