Quarrels Between BJP and TMC at Amherst Street during the BJP’s Road Show

Political heat continues in Bengal. On Wednesday, while BJP’s road rally from Amherst Street obstructed. According to BJP leadership , a car of Arjun Singh’s convoy was attacked. Trinamool Congress supporters were alleged for the incident. BJP accused that Trinamool Congress workers threw stones on BJP supporters while TMC accused BJP workers of hooliganism in City College. Tmc workers said, BJP supporters entered city College and destroyed chair and table.

BJP leader claimed that police was silent spectators  in the whole scenario. But Police was informed about their rally. But Police remains silent towards TMC goons to create violence. Rajeeb Banerjee said,”This is absolutely shameful. Police should be ashamed of them. This was pre planned”.

Arjun Singh said,”They showed shoes and broom to us. Is this the culture of Bengal? If Mamata Banerjee does rally then same will be done. Then it will be okay?”.

BJP’s mega rally at Lebutala Park was attended by MP Babul Supriyo, Suvendu Adhikary, BJP leader Sabyasachi Dutta. Suvendu Adhikary’s  car was also targeted and shoes were thrown. Then BJP supporters too involved in the heat. Two party cadre eventually started using Lathi and stones. During that a car of Arjun Singh’s convoy was damaged.
