The state education minister and Trinamool Maha Sachib Partha Chatterjee held a protest meeting against the central’s public interest bill at Behala on Saturday. During the meeting, Chatterjee also made a statement on BJP’S national vice-president Mukul Roy’s comment. Roy said that Mamata Banerjee duped the people in Singur and heavy industry would be set up in Singur after the BJP would come to the power in Bengal. Chatterjee said that while the protest movement was going on in Singur, then where Mukul Roy was. “Then Mukul Roy was in Delhi. And he later joined the movement.
Those persons, who were associated with Trinamool Congress for many years and affected the party, they are now saying that they were deprived in the party. The people will justify it. Who leaves the party or who stays it doesn’t any matter for the party. The common people are always with Mamata Banerjee,” Chatterjee said.
