General Dhiraj Seth Takes Charge as India's 31st Chief of Army Staff
General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, has officially taken over as the 31st Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Indian Army, succeeding General Upendra Dwivedi.

A highly decorated officer with nearly four decades of distinguished military service, General Seth brings extensive experience in operational leadership, command appointments and strategic staff roles across diverse operational theatres.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has led key formations and contributed significantly to strengthening India's defence preparedness.
General Seth assumes command at a pivotal time as the Indian Army continues its transformation towards a future-ready, technology-driven and self-reliant force. His leadership is expected to further enhance operational capability, modernization initiatives and joint military preparedness while upholding the Army's traditions of professionalism and excellence.
