Ghana Score Dramatic 95th-Minute Winner Against Panama in FIFA World Cup 2026

A 95th-minute Caleb Yirenkyi goal saw Ghana edge past Panama in Toronto in their Group L World Cup 2026 clash.

After spurning several chances throughout the match, both sides looked happy to settle for a draw.

Until Thomas-Asante was set free down the left and drove into the area, before squaring for Yirenkyi to tap home his first international goal.

It was enough to win the game for the Black Stars and deny Panama a first World Cup point in the process.

Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz became only the second coach after Bora Milutinovic to coach teams at five successive World Cups.

He led Portugal at South Africa 2010, Iran at Brazil 2014, Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022, and now Ghana at the 2026 edition.

Player of the Match: Antoine Semenyo (Ghana)
