Hockey Men's Junior World Cup Semis Loss to Germany

It was heartbreak time for Indian sports fans as the Indian team playing for Hockey Men’s FIH Junior World Cup lost to Germany in the semi-finals today. The tournament is being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The final score was India – Germany 1 -4. The goal scorers on the opponent’s side were Ben Hasbach who shot 2 goals, Paul Glander, and Florian Spirling. Sudeep Chirmako scored the sole goal for India. Though the Indians played a dominant game for the greater part even through the pouring rain in the third quarter of the match the Germans proved to be the better team being defensively solid. Six-time champions Germany played a cool and clinical match and soaked in all the pressure to score 4 goals and sail into the finals. Ben Hasbach won the Man of the Match for his two goals. India will now play against either Spain or France for the 3rd place on December 16.
