India-EU FTA Talks Advance in Meeting with Bernd Lange
India and the European Union have taken another step toward strengthening their economic partnership, with senior leaders holding discussions on the proposed India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) during a meeting with Bernd Lange, Chairman of the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade (INTA).
The meeting focused on the progress of the India-EU FTA and the immense opportunities it is expected to create for businesses, industries, investors, and citizens on both sides. Both parties emphasized that the agreement has the potential to boost trade, investment, innovation, and long-term economic growth.
During the discussions, the Indian delegation highlighted the importance of deepening strategic economic cooperation with the European Union and reaffirmed India's commitment to concluding a comprehensive and mutually beneficial trade agreement.
An invitation was also extended to Bernd Lange to visit India, reflecting both sides' commitment to strengthening bilateral engagement and advancing cooperation across trade, investment, and policy dialogue.
