Sharing details on social media, Jaishankar said the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen India-Brazil bilateral relations across several key sectors, including trade and investment, defence, energy, agriculture and space.
The meeting also covered multilateral cooperation between India and Brazil through platforms such as the United Nations, G20 and International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Jaishankar and Vieira further exchanged views on the prevailing geopolitical situation and highlighted the importance of BRICS 2026 in promoting greater dialogue and diplomacy among member countries.
The engagement comes as India hosts BRICS 2026 in New Delhi, with discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and addressing emerging global challenges.
