Jaishankar Meets US Lawmakers in Mumbai to Boost Ties

External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar met a US Congressional Delegation in Mumbai, discussing ways to strengthen India-US relations across trade, energy, security and technology.

Sharing details of the meeting on social media, Jaishankar said he was pleased to meet the delegation comprising US Representatives Jason Smith, David Schweikert, Elise Stefanik, Andy Ogles and Laura Friedman.

The External Affairs Minister appreciated the delegation's positive sentiments and interest in taking forward bilateral ties between India and the United States.

Focus on Trade, Energy and Technology

The discussions covered key aspects of the India-US relationship, with particular emphasis on trade, energy cooperation, security and technological collaboration. These sectors remain central to the broader strategic and economic partnership between the two countries.
