J&K Bank Assistive Devices Reach People With Disabilities in Rajouri
J&K Bank assistive devices have provided practical support to people with disabilities in Rajouri, with beneficiaries receiving mobility and hearing aids under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The assistance was provided in coordination with the Social Welfare Department and other stakeholders, helping extend support to people living in remote parts of the district.
MLA Thanamandi Muzaffar Iqbal Khan welcomed the initiative and appreciated the efforts of Jammu & Kashmir Bank and the Social Welfare Department to take welfare assistance to people who may face difficulties accessing such facilities.
J&K Bank Assistive Devices Distributed to Beneficiaries
Under the initiative, identified beneficiaries received different types of assistive equipment according to their individual requirements. The devices included hearing aids, pedal tricycles and motorised tricycles, along with other mobility-related aids.
The distribution formed part of efforts to make essential assistive equipment accessible to persons with disabilities in Rajouri and its surrounding areas. According to reports, beneficiaries travelled from several far-flung areas to receive the support.
The initiative was undertaken as part of J&K Bank's CSR efforts, with coordination involving the Social Welfare Department and district-level authorities.

Speaking about the programme, Thanamandi MLA Muzaffar Iqbal Khan highlighted the importance of providing practical assistance to people in need.
He said J&K Bank, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, provided different assistive aids based on the specific needs of beneficiaries. He noted that such support can make everyday activities easier for people who require mobility or hearing assistance.
Khan also expressed gratitude to the bank and the department for reaching remote areas and extending assistance to communities that can often face challenges in accessing welfare services.

The distribution of J&K Bank assistive devices is significant for beneficiaries living in remote and hilly areas of Rajouri. Access to mobility equipment can help eligible recipients travel more independently and manage everyday activities.
Reports from the distribution initiative said beneficiaries came from areas including Thanamandi, Darhal, Gurdan, Chawa and other parts of Rajouri district.
