French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi following their recent conversation on the evolving situation in West Asia, underscoring the shared commitment of both nations to de-escalation and diplomatic engagement. In a social media post, Macron thanked Modi and highlighted the strong partnership between India and France, emphasizing that both countries are working closely to reduce regional tensions and promote dialogue as the primary pathway to peace. “India and France are working closely together to reduce tensions in the region and to keep diplomacy at the heart of our efforts for peace,” Macron stated, echoing the sentiments expressed earlier by the Indian Prime Minister. The exchange reflects the deepening strategic alignment between New Delhi and Paris on key global issues, particularly in times of geopolitical uncertainty. Both leaders have consistently advocated for restraint, stability, and multilateral cooperation amid rising tensions in West Asia. The diplomatic outreach between the two countries comes at a critical juncture, as global powers intensify efforts to prevent further escalation and ensure regional stability through sustained dialogue.
