Mamata Banerjee Targets BJP at INDIA Bloc Mega Rally
Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) while addressing the INDIA bloc mega rally in Delhi, accusing the party of corruption, misuse of police machinery and political interference by central agencies.
During her address, Banerjee alleged that funds associated with Ram Janmabhoomi and Waqf properties had been looted. She also accused the BJP of using the police for political purposes, claiming that the party lacked an independent organisational structure.
“The police became their comrades. The BJP has no organisation of its own. That is why they make the police do party work. Agencies don't work with the BJP. The BJP will go,” Banerjee said.
Her remarks came amid the INDIA bloc's show of opposition unity at the mega rally in Delhi, where opposition leaders targeted the BJP over various political and governance issues.
Banerjee's comments added to the political confrontation between the INDIA bloc and the ruling BJP, with the rally highlighting the opposition's criticism of the Centre.
